Hello from Southeast Alaska,
We had a wild and exciting trip aboard Adventurous this week! Writing a blog every week and being a fishing guide I try to stay on the positive side particularly with fishing reports. I have always thought that an honest report, good or bad with a positive spin is best. This week there was no slow fishing to report. The King Salmon bite was literaly as good as it gets! Fantastic weather, great friends and outstanding anglers what a week. We welcomed back old friends and Mike Lewis, Jeff Gunn, Jeff Guttero, Dick Shrader and Adventurous first timers Mike Aranoga and Don Lee. Aside from the unbelievable action, world famous shrader Margaritas, and great times we had some very notable catches. Mike landed and released a 150# Halibut while taking a shower. Jeff Gunn released a 200# plus Halibut. Jeff Guttero landed a monster 44 pound King tying the years record for King salmon size.
It was a week of great fun, laughs and fishing action. Thanks Mike and the crew for a world class week on the water!
