Hello from Southeast Alaska,
We try to right a short report every week and as most fisherman do we try to put a positive spin on the fishing. We are lucky to be in one of the most untamed, beautiful spots on earth even without the fishing, The Tongass is a one heck of a place to be. That said this weeks fishing takes no exaggeration to describe…..As good as it gets! Rick Rodriguez returned this year with a few new fishing buddies, and the boys went to work on the Southeast Alaska King Salmon. We spent the week changing fishing holes, exploring new spots and catching King Salmon and Coho. The action was anything from really great to unbelievable! We did take the time to do some bottom fishing and although the Halibut fishing was not outstanding the guys did manage to land a number of ling cod and Yellow eye. Jay did release an 80 pound class Halibut! Thanks to Rick and the Crew to an amazing week on the water!! We look forward to seeing you next year!
