June 16-20 Team Middleton

June 22, 2013

Hello from Southeast Alaska,

Long days, incredible weather and fishing as good as it gets made for an amazing week aboard the Adventurous. David and Dora Middleton have fished aboard the Adventurous several times, but this time was particularly special. After a 5 years traveling the world the couple decided to return to Southeast Alaska and celebrate their 52nd anniversary fishing and exploring Adventurous style. We started off the week with flip flop weather! Sunny warm conditions flat water and great fishing. As the week progressed our definition of good fishing began to change as we found better and better fishing. To say the King Salmon fishing was outstanding would be a gross exaggeration.  The King fishing was off the hook crazy! It seemed like everywhere we stopped we found at least some Kings read and willing to bite! Dora had the real touch for mooching up big Kings this trip and it seemed like every time we  tuned around she had another fish on! The week was filled with both great stories and wonderful experiences. We had the chance to see many whales, a cliff scaling Brown Bear, do some crabbing and shrimping and enjoyed wonderful food prepared prepared by Chef Jessica. Dora and Dave thank you very much for sharing your time and the this exciting week with us aboard the Adventurous! We are looking froward to seeing you next year!
