Hello from Southeast Alaska,
The Adventurous is in Petersburg AK for the day. Steelhead season is in full swing and Master guide Dan Leavens has joined the Adventurous crew for the next month or so. Dan, or Rooster as we call him owns and operates the Stone Fly Inn in twin bridges Montana and fishes Steelhead from the Olympic peninsula to Southeast Alaska and we feel lucky he can bring added knowledge to the Adventurous crew this time of year.
We had a wonderful week exploring and fishing some spectacular water. Joining us this week was returning guest and Steelheader Jimmy Kloote. Accompanying Jim was returning guest Mike Pepper and Adventurous first timers Ryan Odonnell, and Mathew Pumford.. This entire crew consisted of avid anglers and outdoorsman, but this was the first time Ryan and Matt had the opportunity to fish for Steelhead. It didn’t take long and on the first day everyone landed steelhead! Fishing 6 streams in 6 days everyone had many shots and landed Steelhead. It was a week full of excitement, incredible anchorages, five star meals and one hell of a good time!
Thanks to the entire crew for the trip of a lifetime in the Tongass and on the streams. Thanks to Rooster for some incredible photos. We look forward to seeing you next year.
