Eat more Eggs. Team Bob Kelly back in AK! Week of July 28th

August 3, 2013

Hello from Southeast Alaska,

Hello from Southeast Alaska, Our Good friend Bob Kelly came to Alaska over 30 years ago, but not on a fishing trip. Bob was a logger back in the day and spent 6 summers in the Tongass logging to put himself through college. Bob doesn’t  live in Alaska anymore, but still returns every year for his Alaska fix. We feel lucky that Bob now spends his time  in Alaska aboard the Adventurous. Joining Bob this year where Alaska veterans, Greg Hinton, and Kevin Davis. Bob also had a couple of Alaska first timers, Jeremy Corcia, Jim Lee and David Hirz.

One of the great things about fishing and cruising on the Adventurous is the countless options Southeast Alaska offers for adventure. The number of locations to explore, fish, anchor and see sometimes seem limitless. This week on the Adventurous we pushed the limit and circumnavigated Baranof Island. Cruising 250 miles we had the chance to see some of the most scenic country in the state of Alaska. To say the fishing was good would be a huge understatement! The Salmon fishing in Southeast right now is as good as it can possibly get. Halibut and bottom fishing are a close second. Aside from the fishing this week we had the chance to see plenty of wildlife, do some shrimping, hit the hot tub and have an overall unbelievable time!
