Another crazy week in Southeast Alaska. Scheetz and Trebilcock crew July 21-26, 2013

July 27, 2013

Hello from Southeast Alaska,

When you think of a fishing vacation in Alaska what do you imagine? Great scenery, rough weather, fish biting like crazy? We had two out of the three this week! The Scenery and fishing were as good as they get this week, but the weather was flat calm and for much of the time warm (by Alaska standards) and dry. Returning guest   Rick and Cindy Scheetz and Chuck and Renee Trebilcock where joined by Rick and Cindy’s sons Derek and Ricky. Beginning on day one we found outstanding action and excitement! The Cohos are in Southeast Alaska by the numbers and it seemed everywhere we stopped we found both Coho and King Salmon aggressive and willing to bite. We lucked out this week in the Halibut department with flat water and Halibut as thick as thieves! As if that wasn’t enough the crew did very well on Sockeye Salmon and spent a day catch an releasing stream fishing for Pink Salmon.

This was a week to remember for all of us! Thanks to both the Scheetz and Trebilcock clan for joining us for an action filled weed aboard the Adventurous!
